To celebrate my grandparents 60th Wedding Anniversary we enjoyed an evening meal at this unique venue. Located on the Isle of Capri in the Gold Coast, the restaurant faces the waterways with views to the Gold Coast high rise. Our table looked directly onto the canal and sat watching the small boats with local families arriving to grab their takeaway fish and chips.

The wait staff were friendly and attentive, constantly ensuring your table water was full. While there was a wide selection of beverages I focused on the non - alcoholic drinks and saw a quote in the menu that tickled my fancy.

I’m not a drinker, my body will not tolerate spirits. I had two martinis on New Year’s Eve and I tried to hijack an elevator and fly it to Cuba” quoted by Woody Allen

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a wide range of different types of food to select from, often referred to as refined bistro dishes. A great way to get a bit of everything is the enjoy some of the many share plates.

To be able to enjoy the wide selection our family ordered a number of share plates, including

“Chicken tortillas” which included marinated chicken tenderloins with an avocado whip, brie, cos lettuce & basil mayo

“Calamari” crumbed in lemon pepper & panko with basil mayo

“My Mom’s meatballs” which are blended pork, beef & lamb mince, with a Napoli sauce and parmesan wafer & ciabatta

“Pesto arancini” with manchego cheese, romesco salsa & micro herbs

The dishes have a generous serving size and there is plenty to go around.
